  • Allison Arnold, midtown & SOUTH CAMPUS Math

    Originally from Wewoka, OK, Allison is a recent graduate of University of Central Oklahoma, completing her BS in Applied Mathematics. In addition to college students, she has tutored several Academy students over the years. She enjoys audiobooks and watching NCIS.

  • Olivia Bates, midtown & North traditional Math/Science

    Olivia Bates completed a BA in Mathematics from Mid America Christian University and a MA in Mathematics, with an emphasis on Mathematics Education, from the University of Oklahoma. After graduation, she spent a semester traveling to Europe and across the United States. Recently returned to Norman, Olivia enjoys traveling, reading, and making desserts for family and friends.

    Anne Bradford graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BA in psychology. She and her husband Mark have eight children. Anne enjoys being a pastor's wife, knitting, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

    Rhea graduated with a BA Honors in Classics from King's College in Halifax and an MA in Classics from Dalhousie University. She also has a BEd from Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.

  • Sharin Burke, SOUTH CAMPUS  drama

    Sharin is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma, where she studied theater arts and education. She spent several years working with two Oklahoma City theater companies and pursued further study at the University of Oklahoma's School of Drama before following the Lord's call to work in early childhood and special education. She and her husband, Ace, live in Oklahoma City with their three-year-old son, Eli.

    Jacob is a graduate of Biola University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy. He also graduated from the Torrey Honors Institute that’s part of Biola’s general education program. He comes from California this year with his wife, Dawnielle, and his 1 year old son, Rémi. Jacob has taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade before coming to teach at the Academy. He loves to find places of stillness and peace to read, write, and to pray.



  • Nancy carr, North CAMPUS Art

    Nancy is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a BS degree in Education, and is an ongoing student at The Conservatory of Classical Art in Edmond. She enjoys working and managing a substantial vegetable garden and spending time with her four sons, their wives and her many grandchildren.


  • Chelsie duff, SOUTH CAMPUS humanities

    Chelsie graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BS in Education in 2008 and also has her MEd in Adult and Higher Education from UCO. She lives in Yukon with her husband, Michael, and their two beautiful children, Conley and Ellie.

  • abbie james, midtown & North CAMPUS drama

    Abbie James graduated from the University of Dallas with a degree in English Literature, and taught high school literature and drama in Dallas for two years. She was born and raised in Texas and prior to moving to Oklahoma City, Abbie directed many shows and musicals at a Texas community theater.

  • mark johnson, CENTRAL CAMPUS AESTHETICS

    Dr. Johnson has been active in Secondary and Collegiate Christian education since 1987, with his BA, MA, and PhD degrees from Oral Roberts University, Oklahoma City University, and Louisiana State University. He was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary and Civil Air Patrol (USAF Auxiliary) from 1987-2012, and he now flies volunteer missions for Angel Flight South Central, transporting cancer patients to and from home and treatments.

    Molly has a BM degree in Vocal Performance from Oklahoma City University and the MM and DMA degrees in Vocal Performance from Louisiana State University. In addition to frequent concert, recital, and oratorio appearances, she has performed in many operas and theater roles across the country, and is an accomplished artistic/stage director. Her graduate and undergraduate teaching experience includes applied voice, diction, pedagogy and music theater survey and history.

    Alex is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where he majored in History, Math, and minored in Ancient Greek. Alex served as a substitute teacher for Norman Public Schools and is enjoying teaching Humanities, Government/Econ at The Academy.

    Robin graduated from Central State University (now University of Central Oklahoma) with a degree in Secondary Math Education. She and her husband, Rick, have two sons and live in Edmond.

    Graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BS in Physical Education. Married to my husband Christian. We have 2 dogs, Samson and Stella. In my free time I enjoy crafting, traveling, and spending time with family.

    Charlotte served six years in the United States Air Force.  After her enlistment,  she completed her Bachelor degree in Science Education at the University of Oklahoma. She and her husband, Chris, have two children.

  • Tony pyles, SOUTH CAMPUS humanities

    Tony Pyles is a PhD candidate in Old Testament at McMaster Divinity College, Hamilton, Ontario, and holds an MDiv from Reformed Theological Seminary and a BA in Linguistics from the University of Oklahoma. When he isn't reading a dead language, he is probably building something in the garage or going to the park with his wife and five children.

    Anne Risch spent two summers teaching English for the Defense University of Mongolia in Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia, before graduating from Oklahoma Baptist University in May 2010. She hopes, one day, to stumble into Narnia.

  • Josh Spears, midtown & SOUTH CAMPUS humanities

    Josh earned a BA in Theology at Hillsdale FWB College and an MA in Philosophy from the University of Oklahoma. While he serves as our Lyceum Director, Josh also teaches D&R Theology and Logic courses.

    SOUTH CAMPUS oral PresENTATION/Debate

    Jennifer earned a BA in Spanish and German from Oklahoma State University and  JD from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. In between her undergraduate and law school experiences, she studied and worked in Austria and later moved to Germany as a Fullbright, where she discovered her love of teaching.

    Rev. Aaron Taylor is a graduate of Oklahoma City University, where he majored in Religion and minored in Russian language and literature. He is an active member of the C.S. Lewis & Inklings Society, as well as the Chesterton Society of Oklahoma City.

  • Allison taylor, North & SOUTH CAMPUS music

    Mrs. Taylor received her BA and MA in violin performance from the University of Central Oklahoma, later completing her Oklahoma teacher's certification in music education. She is the assistant choir director at St. Benedict Orthodox Church.

    Todd earned a BA in English and History from Oklahoma Baptist University and an MA in Rhetoric and Composition from the University of Oklahoma. He not only serves as the D&R Principal & Academic Dean, but also enjoys teaching our junior Rhetoric and senior Capstone courses.

    Landon graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Biology, Geography, and a minor in Chemistry. He lives in Edmond and enjoys backpacking, the arts, and (obviously) science.
