   Coach MAC joins The ACADEMY for his first season as Head Basketball Coach and Athletic Director.   He has coached basketball at the Varsity or College level for 18 years (12 of those at Christian universities).  Rob came to The ACADEMY from Redlands Community College where he served as Head Women's Basketball Assistant and also taught as Instructor in Sports Wellness at Oklahoma Christian University during that time.  Coach MAC spent ten years on the men's basketball staff at OC and has also coached both boys and girls at the HS level at Oklahoma 6A schools.

   Rob earned his BA at York College (NE), and his MA in General Education from UCO. He is passionate about teaching fundamentals in athletics and mentoring young adults and coaches.   In addition to his passion for Christian education, he serves as a bible class leader and on praise and worship teams. 

   He and his wife Rachel have two children, Adi and Austin, and love spending time as a family, vacationing, reading, and playing sports.

Shawn Rhea, Dialectic boys COACH

   Coach Rhea returns in his role as Junior High boys head coach in 2019.  Shawn graduated from Wynnewood  where he played basketball.  He went on to receive an Associates of Arts degree from Central Baptist College in Conway, AR and a Bachelors degree in Organizational Leadership from UCO.  He is currently a Kindergarten teacher in Oklahoma City.  Shawn has a passion for youth athletes and has coached many youth teams ranging in age from 4 years to 8th grade. 

   Shawn is married to Cross Country coach Sarah Rhea and the couple has three children at The ACADEMY. 

Andrew Johnson - dialectic ASt. COACH

   Coach Johnson s a graduate from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Sports and Facility Management.  Andrew competed in basketball, track and cross-country throughout his time at Weatherford HS, winning a State Championship and All-State recognition along the way. He holds the Air Force Basic Training record for the 5k, and he still enjoys running and playing basketball with his friends and family. 

    Andrew and his wife Melissa have three young children, and he owns and operates a retail consulting company based in Oklahoma City.

Jody Wickersham - Dialectic girls coach

   Coach Wickersham enters his second season coaching the girls basketball program.  Jody graduated from Newcastle High School where he played varsity basketball earning honorable mention on The Oklahoman’s All-State and Little All-City 4A teams and received three All-Star game invitations. Jody is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma ('00) with a BA in Journalism and Broadcasting. He works professionally as a video producer. 

   Jpdy and his wife Abbie, a former Academy teacher, have been involved with The ACADEMY for many years and all five of their children attend the school. 


Coach Alderson is in her first year coaching at The ACADEMY and teaches Physical Education at North Campus.  In addition to her role as the assistant girls basketball coach, Megan also is the assistant volleyball coach.  Megan, a Portland native is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian University ('18) where she worked alongside Coach McKinzie as a Program Assistant for the Mens Basketbal Team, and most recently worked as an Admissions Counselor.  Coach Alderson also coached MS volleyball and basketball at Oklahoma Christian School.

   Megan is married to Evan Alderson and lives in Edmond.
