Ice, Ice Baby…
What a week! While I’m sure that many of you enjoyed some more family time this week, you probably didn’t want it to happen in the cold or the dark without power; or better yet, hauling limbs and broken trees from your property. While we should never wish away tomorrow, we can probably agree that 2020 can go quietly into the night!
But this year has also been good for The ACADEMY: an expansion of our school enrollment and technological offerings, an increase in our athletic numbers and teams, school buses, and last week the school’s first state championship. Through all the ups and downs our community remains Griffin Strong!
Weekly Sports Recap
The Dialectic White volleyball team brought home the school’s first State Championship last Saturday by downing Southwest Covenant 2-1 in the HCAA 3A Championship match. 8th graders Addison Dale, Avyn Hazzard, and Addison Dale were named to the All-Tournament Team. Congrats to all the coaches, players, and families for a great season!
The Varsity Volleyball team heads to Tulsa for the 4A State Tournament this Saturday. The girls will be playing at Wright Christian Academy with pool play beginning at 9am.
All of our Cross Country teams will be running this Friday at the HCAA State Meet at John Brown University in Arkansas. Junior Esperanza Osuna looks to improve on Top 6 finishes the past 2 years while all of our teams hope to bring home their first team awards at the State Meet.

3X3 Basketball Organization and Volunteer Signups
The ice may have taken away some practice times, but all of our teams will be in action next week. Practices have been determined and uniforms are on the way. The first games will be next Saturday, Nov. 7th from 9:30-3:30. Schedule will be published early next week. Click below if you wish to sign up to help with the Admission Gate or Concession Stand.
