From your midtown campus principal, Rhonda Jones
Parents, this has been an exciting week at Midtown! Basketball season started and both teams won, which was a fun way to kickoff the season. We hosted South Campus 8th graders on Thursday. Everyone involved had a great day. Teachers were elated as they shared stories about the students they met and welcomed in their classes. Rhetoric students joyfully talked about our school culture and took time to get to know South students as they hosted them at lunch and spent time hanging out with them in the gym during an elective hour. I watched these interactions and once again recognized how our 4 portraits of a graduate truly take shape in the lives of our Rhetoric students. They are keenly aware of what it means to care for their neighbor, and this is exactly what they did as they welcomed South students into our school community. You have many reasons to be proud of your children! They are thoughtful, generous teenagers who bring me a lot of joy.
