As you know, our mission to assist parents in shaping students’ affections extends to our desire to assist parents in meeting students’ needs as their developing into the person God created them to be.
With this goal in mind, The Academy began using individualized accommodation plans to provide support for students who present with needs that require methodical attention. In order to best meet the needs of our students, we need to provide support for teachers as well. With this goal in mind, we are growing our Accommodations Department by bringing on an Accommodations Coordinator to assist Mrs. Jones, our Accommodations Director, in supporting teachers as we meet the needs of our students.
To fill this need, Mrs. Tana Schuermann has accepted the position of Accommodations Coordinator. We are excited about the opportunity to team with her as we grow The Academy’s Accommodations Department. Tana will begin training and planning for this role in late Spring and will officially begin this summer.
