Notes from the North Campus (Grammar) – 4.16.21

It has been again a wonderful week at north campus with a multitude of activities including: Chapel (thank you Mr. White for your message); First grade classes participated in their Passover Festival that included a drama presentation of the 10 plaques and a Seder Meal on Tuesday (1Trad Wickersham & Mozart) and Wednesday (1Trad McDaniel & Bach) lots of Egyptians in our halls; Spirit Day on Wednesday; the last View Event of the 2021-22 enrollment period (Thank you, Darla Benoit for all your hard work); Augustine House Feast on Thursday; and finished off the week with all Second Grade students participating in 2nd grade Antiquities Feast and Greek Olympics on Friday. What a great week at north! Only 6 more weeks.

Known needs for 2021-22 school year: a few five-day grammar positions as well as blended classes. If you or someone you know has an interest in joining our grammar staff, please, please give them my number or provide theirs to me to start a conversation. I so appreciate everyone’s thoughts, prayers, and ideas for these needs.

Calendar events for this coming week and the next:

April 20 Chapel (formal uniform)

April 21 PK Bach Nursery Rhyme Festival

April 22 PK Mozart Nursery Rhyme Festival

April 22 North Oral Pres and Dialectic Choir Night 6-7

April 23 Kindergarten Oklahoma Day Celebration

April 23 Dialectic Spirit Day

April 23 PK Trad Nursery Rhyme Festival

It is really hard to believe that we are so near the end of the 2020-21 school year. It has been an adventure and hopefully not one to be repeated in the future. It seems better already with many of our cultural norms almost back to normal routine. What a delight to have festivals and feast this week as well as when weather permits eating in houses outside on the grassy knolls of the north campus. Hope to see many of you over the next few weeks at the various gatherings especially for Recitation and Grandparents’ Days in early May!!
