Welcome to the final weeks of the school year. That’s right, the 2020-2021 year is officially coming to a close. Around the halls of the school you can hear both the students counting down the exact number of hours left in the year and the teachers making plans for end of the year celebrations of the work that has been done. My eyes have already begun to gaze upon that which will be the 2021-2022 school year and to think of the inummerable joys God will bless us with as we continue to walk alongside you in forming the affections of your children for the glory of Jesus Christ and the good of man. Thank you for walking with me through my first year as a Principal. God has been so good to us! Joy and I have fallen in love with The Academy and are thankful for your bearing with my bumps and bruises as I have settled into leadership here.
Looking back on the year, there are many joys and many trials to be remembered. The joy of being in person, the trail of change to our norms, and the daily grind of the school year. All to be looked back upon and to see the faithfulness of God and His hand upon our school. My prayer all year has been the words of Numbers chapter 6 as Moses is commanded to speak a blessing over Aaron and his sons. In the same way, may God continue to bless The Academy by shining his face upon us and giving us peace.
“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”
Numbers 6:24-26
