Message from Coach MAC
With growth comes change. Our school and our athletic teams are growing and that means adding teams and coaches. We have multiple positions across all of our sports to fill in order to keep serving our growing student-athlete population across all 3 campuses. And we are excited to make several announcements of new Head Coaches the next two weeks! We hosted our high school Athletic Banquet on Monday and it was a great time of celebration for the past two years of athletics. We have a great group of student-athletes and as we said goodbye to our first 2 classes of seniors it is the realization of all the time and commitment that our school community invests in our students. Go Griffins Go!
Floyd Selected as Varsity Volleyball Coach
The ACADEMY is pleased to announce the hiring of MaryAshton Floyd as the new Varsity Volleyball Coach. Coach Mash comes to the Griffins with an extensive background in volleyball and ministry. She will also be teaching PE at our South campus next year. For more information about Floyd see the news announcement on TeamApp: https://www.teamapp.com/clubs/458736/articles?_list=v1
High School Athletic Awards Recap from Banquet
On this special night we honored the Varsity athletes in our four Core Sports by bestowing on them Varsity Letter Awards – think letter jackets and chenille pins, just without the jackets and pins! These athletes met certain standards established by our coaches in sport, attendance, character, and sportsmanship.

The Griffin Award, our most prestigious athletic award, is given out to one junior or senior outstanding male and outstanding female athlete who embodies what it means to be a Griffin Athlete. These two individuals are voted on by all the coaching staff for their outstanding
achievements in athletics, character, and leadership. These two student-athletes are great examples of our Vision of a Griffin Athlete. This year’s award winners were:
Mr. Griffin – AJ Jackson (Senior, basketball)
Ms. Griffin – Beth Thompson (Junior, cross country and track)
