Financial Aid

Click here to apply for 2023-2024 Financial Aid

A robust and growing tuition assistance program supports The Academy’s commitment to finding families and students aligned with our school’s mission, regardless of ability to pay full tuition. Families that resonate deeply with our mission are encouraged to apply to The Academy regardless of financial need.

Financial aid is awarded on the basis of demonstrated need, covering up to 90% of tuition. Financial need is determined through an application with FACTS Grant & Aid and reviewed by The Academy’s scholarship committee. A family’s ability to pay (as assessed by FACTS Grant & Aid) and available funds determines the scholarship amount.

  • Income verification is required in order to complete the application. This requires providing FACTS with the most recently submitted 1040 Tax Return and requested tax schedules (typically filed in April of the previous year), and the most recent W-2 statement(s) (received in January of the current year). In order to make as accurate an assessment of financial need as possible, FACTS also collects household data regarding savings and retirement, annual expenses, and debt.
  • Returning financial aid applicants must re-enroll in order to be considered for scholarship assistance.
  • New financial aid applicants must complete a New Student Application before the application will be reviewed.
  • Special consideration will be given to returning Academy families and staff before new families. Please note that while it is the desire of the school to help as many families as possible, scholarships are dependent on available funding.
  • If a family changes models during the academic year, scholarship assistance will be reviewed. The scholarship amount awarded may be reduced or increased depending on the particular circumstances of each student and family.

Scholarships are also available through The Academy Opportunity Scholarship Fund, a state-approved Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO). No separate application is required for an SGO award. However, families selected to receive SGO scholarships are required to complete an additional form prior to receiving their award.

Priority deadline to apply is March 1, 2023.  Scholarship notification will be sent via email on or around April 1.

Please direct any specific questions you have regarding this process to Christina Mearse, FACTS Coordinator, at cmearse@theacademyok.org.
